My mother has COPD and her situation isnt bad. She can go to mountains, she does her daily activities easily and looks healthy. She does have to use reliever once or twice a day. But she also has asthma. About five years ago her fev1 was more than 80%. Today I looked at a med description she was given a year ago. It is ultibro breezhaler. My question is why she was given a combination of two long lasting dialators? Does this mean she is at stage 4 copd? It really scares me to think about it. The doctor only said she will give it to her because it will reduce the use of short term reliever med. Please do you think if she had stage 4 copd she would be able do do normal stuff like she does?
