There has been a recent change to 2 liter, continuous, for exertion. Pulse will still work while sitting around. After this long winter, I am looking forward to serious gardening, and that will require 2 liter continuous except when I am sitting enjoying the yard. Then pulse will work. So I contacted my provider and they suggested I use the D or E tanks on a cart. That sounded great. The D tank lasts 4 hours and the E tank lasts almost 6 hours on 2 liter continuous.
Today they delivered 7 D and 2 E tanks, a cart, and a backpack for the D tank. Plus lots of cannulae, hoses and connectors. BUT - they took the empty B tanks and did not leave any B tanks. I called the provider. They said they cannot give me all three sizes. REALLY?
If I have a short adventure - a haircut, for example, I need a small tank. I would only use 2 continuous for the short time between building and car and until I settle down. Then change to pulse. (I do keep an extra tank or two in the car for emergencies or if I misjudge.) So the thought of lugging a large tank (5.3 pounds as opposed to 2.2 pounds) for a haircut or to the drugstore is overwhelming.
Can they really refuse to give me all three sizes? Are there any other options you can think of?
