My husband was diagnosed with COPD at age 48 years old. He is on oxygen 4 liters continuous flow. He is still very active, going fishing, yard work, etc. His oxygen provider has limited the number of portable tanks he can receive a week. This limit is ability to be mobile. He feels he is controlled be his provider. I have ask them to tell me who determine how many tanks he is allowed. Is there some kind of formula, guidelines, etc. The provider can't tell me how they determined he can only get 24 tanks a week, which for him is 48 hours of portable air. That is if the tanks are full when we get them.
Thanks
