I am 76 years old with COPD. I have no trouble maintaining O2 above low 90s (6,200 ft. elevation) except I become SOB quickly with activity. Even on O2 (2 l/m), walking up stairs or short walks leaves me SOB. I play golf regularly, keeping a tank in the cart. Removing the cannula to putt or enter/exit a bunker leaves me SOB.
Does chewing nicotine gum have any effect on COPD?
