I was told I have COPD a month ago (Dec 4, '19). I've since had PFTs (Dec 18) and it's confirmed. Oh goody! Seriously, I had to spend 2 days in the hospital for an exacerbation (Dec 28-30). I was scared. My question is - is COPD a progressive disease, assuming I breathe nothing but clean air the rest of my life? Will it get worse over time? I quit smoking a couple of years ago, but I vaped pretty hardcore since then. I am now vape-free as of the morning of Dec 28th. I was literally "scared straight". I'd appreciate any replies and maybe a link to a page or pages on this topic. Thanks!
