I was in a car accident and coincidentally my CT scan showed Mild upper lobe scarring and paraseptal emphysematous. My PCP then sent me for an xray as well. She said the scarring is very mild (i think i am thanking God). She saw my state of panic snd said i can go to a pulmonologist if i wanted. Of course i wanted and go tomorrow. I am 39 years old and maybe smoked a pack of cigarettes my entire life. I am so scared and don't know what to expect. Can a CT scan be wrong? Or maybe this accident was a sign to catch it early. Please help ease my mind. Anyone have scarring?
