Team,
Want to first thank this site for all the help it’s given me.
Went to a Pulmonologist yesterday 43yr Male (myself) he looked at my X-rays and Spirometry results. If you have followed me I posted my results on a previous thread.
I asked-do I have Mild/Moderate COPD and he also would not give me the green light?
Is this disease black and white or are we playing in the grey?
He asked when did you quit smoking I said 5 weeks ago. How long you smoke 28 years. He says give it a year and retest? I’m thinking “Dude” my Fev1 is 79% my ratio is 65% yes after inhaling the bronchial spray we went to Fev1 84% my ratio 74%. I’m not a doctor why am having to reach out to the internet when I’m paying these medical professionals.
My question is why is my primary acting like “no biggie” and my new pulmonologist makes it clear they both to never pick up a cigarette again- Agreed. But- will not give me a COPD diagnosis?!?
Thanks in advance for any feedback.
