My boyfriend is 81 and has had COPD for many years. He stopped smoking 30 years ago but it still got him. Over the last six months he has been getting weaker and tired. Now I’ve noticed he is coughing all day and most of the night. He was in the hospital for 3 days with pneumonia. He got his oxygen last week. Now I see him very tired all day, sleeps a lot and he was very independent but niw will allow me to do things for him. He has lost some weight. Even most of the time when he talks he gets a coughing fit. I am afraid it will get even worse in the next few months. He sees his lung specialist next week. What is happening? Please be frank with me. I need to know what to expect
