Hello everyone, new kid here(54) recently diagnosed with COPD at the moderate, close to severe level. I have also seen a cardiologist for this new thumping in my chest, which I was told is my first real complication of COPD, multifocal atrial tachycardia. I am a construction worker of 30 years and my pulmo dr. tells me I will not progress any further in this disease because I quit smoking. First off, there is no such thing as a clean construction job, some just not as dirty as others. Any comments on inhaling things like fiberglass, paint fumes, concrete dust, gypsum, and the list goes on. I would like to live past retirement, if I can even get to that point.
