I now understand what it is so I asked my lung specialist for my DLCO numbers from my last test. He told me my DLCO was 8.7 and that normal is 22.4 meaning I am 39% of normal. I understand now why he used the description of "severely reduced DLCO. My question is: Does the DLCO number continue to drop with age and disease progression or will it remain steady as long as I maintain a healthy lifestyle? I am pretty new to the Foundation but am so happy to have found it on the internet. A good day to all.
