Hi,
My mother who is O2 user has also recently been given a Bi PAp after a recent exasperation. She is having a huge time adjusting to it. Even though it is important and it helps keep her Co2 levels at bay it is preventing her form sleeping> The sound the feeling all of it keeps her up no matter what she tries. She is on a week of no sleep. She is so weak and exhausted that now shes is moving even less which can also contribute to a flare up. The reason why she needs it is she is a mouth breather and she doesn't inhale the oxygen through her nose when she is sleeping like she does when she is aware and awake. Currently she is awake all night and falling asleep during the day with out anything I was wondering if she could use it through the day instead and then just use a face mask instead of nose prongs for oxygen at night . We personally see this as the way to go but the keep insisting night time and don't listen to our concerns. Any insight on this if a day treatment of 6 hours in the morning when she wakes would be better than what she currently suffereing.
