I would like to understand some more about Asymptomatic Emphysema.
1. How many stages are there?
2. Is it possible to get to the final/end stage being asymptomatic?
3. How often is Asymptomatic Emphysema get under/not diagnosed early/ier?
4. Why does this occur in the body - "A failure in the repair mechanism will turn this initial inflammation into a continuous, ongoing process characterizing a chronic persistent inflammatory response. What is not known is why, even with the individual stopping smoking, once the inflammatory response has started, what keeps it as a persistent and progressive process."?
