I was told today by a doctor my COPD is different than most. Although COPD is an umbrella term. My COPD is due to thermal injury caused by a being in a fire. I was burnt internally. One of my lungs is damaged and no longer functions properly due to this injury.
I can't seem to find much on the topic other than 1 study on firemen and 1 study on survivors of a night club fire.
How many others have this type of COPD here? The night club fire study suggests symptoms get worse until year 6 after the fire then progressive improve to a more stable Stage 1 or 2. I'm curious about anyone else's experiences.
