Never given diagnosis for any health problems until I went to ER for shortness of breadth. Laid in hospital for 5 days, given Prednisone for 4 days and breathing treatments. Told I had emphysema based on CT scan. Released from hospital after hospital bed delivered with concentrator, commode, etc.,so I could refrain from climbing stairs. Pulmonologists at hospital kept putting meds through to pharmacy without diagnosis code so the drug store called me endlessly for it, and pulmonologist’s office kept saying my PCP had to call it in to pharmacy, but the pulmonologists knew when I saw them at the hospital that I had no doctor because I had no previous medical history stating I had anything more then annual wellness check-ups that did not show any problems. It took over 2 months to get my nebulizer meds after visiting nurse gave me name of local primary MD that makes house calls. He ordered my medicine. By then, I had been home 3 months from that first-time hospital admittance. Made appointment with new pulmonologist (only to find he’s hooked up with SAME hospital group and appointment was his “meet and greet” and NO tests performed.) This was after I finally got someone to get me in a cab with portable oxygen, and the anxiety!!!
He changed meds. I only used nebulizer once because had just gotten the “first” prescription filled FINALLY.
He did not give pharmacy diagnosis code. So here we go again + wasting money on the first medications.
I feel like I am tied down with the oxygen, but need it. Thx for letting me vent. Just having bad day.
Anyone encourage me, please
