COPD Foundation and Medscape Education to Offer COPD Management Course for Physicians

The COPD Foundation has teamed up with Medscape Education (medscape.org) an educational site that provides courses for continuous professional development for physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

“COPD Management: What Do the Latest Guidelines Say?” is aimed towards pulmonologists and other clinicians who treat patients who have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The course is open to physicians for a maximum of 0.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ and valid for credit through November 2015.

The courses will include: 

  • A summary of the key changes in the update of the Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) guidelines on the diagnosis and management of COPD
  •  Identification of the current recommendations for the assessment and management of COPD
  • Description of the strategies for incorporating the current COPD recommendations into practice.
