Hi everyone. I’m a newbie to this site. My mom is 68 and has stage 3-4 COPD and she lives with me. She’s to the point to where she can’t even walk to the bathroom, or take a shower without wheezing or gasping for air. Anyway my husband is getting real frustrated saying she is lazy cause she doesn’t do anything around the house. She just sits in her room with her dog and the only time she comes out is to eat, make coffee or go to the bathroom. Before she came to live with me she was put in the hospital on a respirator on 2 separate occasions. I just don’t want to push her and cause another incident but I also don’t want to argue with my husband daily defending my mother. She doesn’t know that he feels this way cause I don’t want to hurt her feelings. I want her to be as happy and as comfortable as possible in the last years of her life. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
