COPD Action Alert! Ask Your Congressman to Sign the Letter for $1 Million to Fight COPD!

March 19, 2009

The COPD Foundation is urging the federal government to launch a nationwide campaign against COPD. This would lead to better treatments, increased awareness and diagnoses.

Representatives John Lewis and Cliff Stearns are circulating a Dear Colleague letter in Congress in support of $1 million to start such a campaign. All Representatives in Congress are being asked to sign the letter. It will be sent to the Chairman of the committee that sets funding levels for health programs.

Take Action!

Members of Congress will often sign a letter like this if asked by a constituent. That’s why we are asking everyone that cares about COPD to contact their Representative and urge him/her to sign the letter. You do not need to be an expert in public policy or health care to make a difference.
