Donation Information
Every dollar helps the COPD Foundation toward its mission of supporting programs and initiatives that work to help improve the quality of life for individuals with COPD. Your dollars are very important, and your donation is tax deductible. Over 90% of the COPD Foundation’s revenues go directly to support the Foundation’s programs.
Make a Donation in Tribute of Someone You Know
There may be someone you wish to make a tribute to and one of the most lasting gifts you can make would be by donating to an educational or research program that actively makes a difference in the COPD community. You can make a donation in memory of someone who passed away, or in honor of someone who is part of the NHLBI Learn More Breathe Better ® awareness campaign and actively working in the COPD community; either way, a donation in their name is a lasting impression but a significant support for the cause.
Once we receive your donation, you will be sent a letter acknowledging receipt of the donation with a tax-deductible language. If you donated in memory or in honor of an individual, that person or their family will receive a letter from the COPD Foundation listing the parties who have donated in that person’s name. (The amount donated will not be included in the letter to the family or the person receiving the tribute.)
Support the Richard H. Scarborough Bronchiectasis Research Fund
Your gift to the Richard H. Scarborough Bronchiectasis Research Fund (RHS Fund) serves to advance its goal to find a mechanism to reverse or cure bronchiectasis. A Bronchiectasis Research Consortium and Registry are the direct result of the RHS Fund, as are two matching grants with the American Lung Association and American Thoracic Society.

Other Ways to Make a Donation
You can donate in any of the ways listed below.
- Donate by mail: Send your check or money order to the COPD Foundation along with a completed Donations Form which you can obtain here. (In order to download this form, you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader. You can download that program for free by visiting the official Adobe Reader website.)
- Donate by phone: Call the COPD Foundation office at 1-866-731-2673, ext. 250 to donate with a credit card over the phone.
